It prevents and treats low blood levels of folate (folate deficiency), and high blood levels of an amino acid, homocysteine (hyperhomocysteinemia). L- Carnitine is a type of amino acid that is naturally produced by the body. It is used by the body to produce energy and is important for the health of the heart, brain, muscles, and other parts of the body. Mecobalamin (Methylcobalamine) is a coenzyme form of vitamin B12.
