Leucorrhoea can be a medical condition where sometimes due to estrogen imbalance women experiences thick whitish or yellowish color discharge from the vagina which may sometimes be experienced during puberty, when sexual organs are developing in a woman and in others also due to poor personal hygiene and can disappear or reappear occasionally. Leucorrhoea can also be a sign of vaginitis or inflammation of the vagina, which may be caused by bacterial or fungal infections or protozoal infestation. Infection may give rise to an irritating white discharge that is often resistant to treatment. This may have a devastating effect on women’s health due to some foul smells and patients becoming conscious and may lose self-confidence.
