Description
Each capsule contains Gandharvahasta (castor root and oil), recognized for its laxative, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties, paired with Yava (barley) and Shunthi (ginger) to support circulation and digestion . The addition of Kshira (cow’s milk) serves as a carrier that enhances the bioavailability of lipid-soluble compounds . The formulation is traditionally indicated for occasional constipation (Vibandha), abdominal discomfort or swelling (Udara, Gulma, Sopha), splenic issues (Pleeha), abscesses (Vidradhi), and spinal or joint stiffness (Mahavata Roga, Katigraha, Ghridrasi). Pharmacological constituents such as ricinoleic acid from castor oil and gingerol from ginger contribute anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and mild immunomodulating effects; barley adds nutritive and calming activity. The softgel format allows for easier ingestion and protects heat-sensitive herbal oils, making it convenient for modern use. Capsules are typically administered one to two times daily, taken with warm water or milk, as recommended by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner
